Hurry Back -- New Social Media Presence

Sometimes life has a way of reminding you about what you should be doing.

Sunday afternoon as the Bears were being humiliated, I was too when some odious hacker discovered how to post to my blog.

My techie son has closed the poorly secured loophole in the system. And I was reminded that I need to get back to a routine of daily posting. (So whoever you are out there, thanks for the wake up call.)

We are approaching the last events of the Fall season. More on that in the next couple of days. But first let me tell you about my new social media presence.

I started using Twitter about 6 years ago. My main purpose was to experiment with social media with one team -- the North Shore Track Team and tell followers about how we are doing and when the bus was going to be home. I then started tweeting about other sporting events at North Shore and occasionally someone would say to me "why are you tweeting about the Football, Soccer, Field Hockey etc team.. with a Track Twitter Account?"

I felt kind of bad about that and actually may have even limited tweets based on these statements. Then I noticed that I could keep all my followers and change my account name. So if you followed me on Twitter, I am now @patmchughAD. That account will follow this blog and I will post updates about North Shore Athletics in general.

I do still have @NorthShoreTrack. That is now a new account that has no followers yet. That will be stuff just about North Shore Track and likely running too.
