Our Girls Varsity Basketball Team advanced to the final of the Chicagoland Jewish High School Girls Basketball Regional Tournament after they defeated the host school last night 33-30. They will face Ida Crown on Thursday at 7:30 pm.
The game was a battle throughout. The Raiders got up early, but Ilhana Redzovic had to hit a buzzer beater at the end of the first half to maintain a two point lead 14-12.
In the second half Chicagoland Jewish High School was able to take the lead a couple times, once by 3 late in the fourth quarter. But the Raiders battled back, Kayla Robinson hitting a key shot with 8 seconds remaining to go up 31-30. The final two points were foul shots hit by Annie Kroll to ice victory.
